Many of us enjoy rimming and getting rimmed, but are we taking any risks?

To date, there have been no reported cases of anyone catching HIV through rimming. However, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B can be transmitted. Hepatitis A and B are both pretty serious viral infections; the latter can (and does) kill, and unfortunately there are no known cures. However, as a gay/bisexual man you can be vaccinated against both for free at a GUM clinic. As these vaccinations last for life, you never need worry about either of them again. It is highly recommended that you consider getting these vaccinations if you haven't already done so.

It is up to each of us to make up our own minds about whether we decide to rim someone or not. Using dental dams or even cling film as a barrier between the arse and the tongue is an option. So, if you like rimming do it, it's very low risk!

Whatever you decide to do - ENJOY SEX!
