The Action Starts Here!

Gay Men’s Health Volunteer Application Form / Volunteer Handbook

Ready to apply as a volunteer? You’re just a few clicks away from taking your first few steps! All the information you need should be in either the pack, or the Volunteer Handbook (see below). However, if you have any questions please call James Whyte (Edinburgh) on 0131 558 9444, or Tom Lusk (Glasgow) on 0141 552 0112.

Application Form

You can fill out an application form online if you wish. This will be emailed to the appropriate member of staff at Gay Men’s Health, who will then contact you. If you hear nothing within 14 days of submitting your application, please contact James Whyte on 0131 558 9444.

If you prefer, you can download our application pack below to send in the post. It should contain all the information you need, and includes a map showing our offices and an equal opportunities form. This form helps monitor our effectiveness in attracting a diverse range of volunteers.

Information you provide on the equal opportunities form will not affect any decision as to whether or not you are accepted as a volunteer.

If you wish to download the PDF version but don’t already have the right software to open it, you can download Adobe Reader for free, which should do the job.

Volunteer Handbook

If you are selected as a volunteer you will be given a copy of our volunteer handbook, which gives information on being a volunteer with the organisation. It covers things such as our confidentiality policy, training, support and claiming expenses.

You can preview the handbook here:

Again, if you need it, you can download Adobe Reader for free.

We look forward to hearing from you!
