Where can I get an HIV test?

Free and confidential HIV tests are available by contacting the GUM (Genito-Urinary Medicine) Clinic at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, the HIV Counselling Clinic at the Western General Hospital, the Steve Retson Project in Glasgow or through your GP. (See link page for detailed information on HIV Testing Centres )

If you have the test at GUM you can also have a full sexual health screen and the results of your HIV test will not be shared with anyone outside the clinic.

If you have a problem getting an appointment for an HIV test you can contact Gay Men's Health on 0131 558 9444 for more information.
