Napier's LGBT Society fulfills numerous functions for it members, including at various times social, welfare and political ones. We are working closely with other LGBT organisations on a national level to ensure equality for LGBT people in Scotland and the UK. We also provide peer support through Welfare Officers who can be contacted through the society.

Lost and want someone to call "Mummy" who will hold your hand? Help is at hand with the Befriending Scheme (perhaps not the calling "Mummy" bit, but you never know...). The scheme is for students that have just come out or just feel they need some support before coming along to meetings or want to know more about being LGBT in Edinburgh etc. We can arrange to meet you before our meetings to introduce you to other members or meet you at a place of your choosing if you want to speak about coming out, being gay, what the society can do for you etc. Whether you're new to being an LGBT person, or just new to being LGBT in Edinburgh then the scheme is here to help you.
